Recently, The Unofficial Apple Weblog posted an interesting article in which the writer suggested using a can of compressed air to resolve the issue he had with his iPhone, which was the iPhone was registering the headphones were in, when they really were not.

While the can of compressed air works well, another good trick for this situation is grabbing your headphones, and putting the jack in an out of the iPhone repeatedly. I had read that on the Apple Forums awhile back, and it fixes the same exact issue EVERY time.

Anyone else have tips to share? comment below…
